Intex Aqua Crystal Plus with 2GB of RAM, Android 7.0 Nougat launched: Price, specifications and features

Intex Aqua Crystal Plus is a beefed up variant of the Aqua Crystal smartphone.

After launching the Aqua Crystal smartphone earlier this year, Intex has now launched a bumped up variant of the smartphone. Called Aqua Crystal Plus, the smartphone is listed on company’s official website for Rs 6,799. The smartphone will only be available in black color.

The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD display running at a resolution of 720x1280pixels, with pixel density of 296ppi. It is powered by MediaTek’s MTK6737 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.25GHz along with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. With 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot is also present.

On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Other features of the camera include HDR, Face Detection, Panorama, and GIF creation. Up front, there is also a 5-megpixel front camera for video calling and selfies.

Armed with a 2,100mAh battery, Intex claims that the smartphone is capable of delivering up to 250 hours of standby time and up to 6 hours of talk time. On the connectivity front, the Intex Aqua Crystal Plus comes with dual SIM card slot 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio port and USB 2.0 port. In comparison, the Intex Aqua Crystal features a 5-inch HD IPS display. It runs MediaTek MT6737 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz and is paired with 1GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The Intex Aqua Crystal sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 2,100mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Intex recently launched the most affordable smartphone running Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Called Aqua A4, the smartphone is priced at Rs 4,199 and comes with features like a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and internal storage of 8GB. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and is armed with a 1,750mAh battery.

With a price tag of Rs 6,799, the Intex Aqua Crystal Plus will face competition from the likes of Coolpad Note 5 Lite and Micromax Canvas 5 lite. The Canvas 5 lite comes with a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display, MediaTek’s MTK6735P 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, a 2,000mAh battery, connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and dual-SIM card slots with 4G LTE. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.0.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite, on the other hand, comes with a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad-core SoC clocked at 1GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. It runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 2,500mAh non-removable battery.
