Intex has added another smartphone in its Aqua series, called the Aqua Power M. Priced at Rs 4,800, the main highlight of the smartphone is the massive 4,350mAh battery. Intex claims that the battery is good enough to offer up to 25 hours of talktime and 620 hours on standby mode. The Aqua Power M will be available in champagne color, and is currently listed on the company’s official website. Apart from the battery, the Intex Aqua Power M comes with a front-facing dual-tone LED flash that can be used to click selfies in low light. The Intex Aqua Power M doesn’t support 4G, and sticks only to 3G. This is somewhat of a disappointment because there are ultra-affordable smartphones like the Reliance Digital LYF Flame 6 which comes with 4G and VoLTE at Rs 2,999. Talking about the design of the smartphone, it comes with a full-metal body. At the rear there is the camera and LED flash, while at the bottom, there is the speaker grille and USB port. Up front, there is the front camera and proximity sensors on the top and the volume and the power buttons are place on the left hand side. Intex Aqua Power M specifications
The Intex Aqua Power M measures 143.5×71.5×8.9 mm and weighs 160 grams. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit MediaTek MTK6580 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with an internal storage of 8GB, which is further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, and 4P Lens. Up front, there is a 2-megapixel selfie camera with dual-tone LED flash. Other camera features include face beauty, gesture capture, and smile shoot. On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with options like dual-SIM, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 port, GPS/ AGPS and Wi-Fi. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Talking about the competitions, the smartphone will face tough competition from the likes of Alcatel Pixi 4 and Xolo Era 1X among other 4G VoLTE-enabled entry-level smartphones. Both the smartphones are priced at Rs 4,999.
The Alcatel Pixi 4 comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6735M processor paired, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front, 2,000mAh battery, dual-SIM, LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB. Though the display resolution is a bit of a disappointment, 4G VoLTE support is the highlight, which is missing on the Aqua Power M.
The Xolo Era 1X, on the other hand comes, with a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There is also 8GB onboard memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0. It comes with 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with dual-LED flash. The smartphone also comes with a 2,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
