In order to make smartphones more user-friendly and target the Tier-II and Tier-III cities and towns in India, Intex has launched a new app called Matrabhasha. The app which is currently only compatible with the Intex Aqua Marvel and the Intex Aqua 3.2, lets people use the smartphones in their mother tongue.
When enabled from within the keyboard settings, Matrabhasha lets you do just about anything on your phone in your desired language. Phonebook, SMS and Internet can all be accessed in one of the 17 languages supported by the app. The virtual keyboard also makes it possible to do a Google search, use social media websites like Facebook, Twitter or Blog in your mother tongue.
The languages currently supported in Matrabhasha include Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Maithili, Marathi, Bodo, Santhali, Manipuri, Sindhi, Dogri, Konkani, Nepali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya and Telugu.
