Intex, the Indian OEM has launched a new smartphone called ‘Intex Uday’ in exclusive partnership with leading retail chains in Pune. The smartphone will be available via leading retailers including Kensha Mobiles, Mehta Telecom, Manik Mobile Shopee and The Corner Mobile. This is the first time that a smartphone maker has launched a mobile device in exclusive partnership with retailers in one city. On purchase of Intex Uday, both existing and new Reliance Jio subscribers will be eligible for Rs 2,200 cashback plan. The customer needs to recharge with Rs 198 or Rs 299 tariff plan and the cashback will be available in the form of vouchers which can be redeemed with subsequent recharges. Intex Uday Specifications and Features
The Intex Uday features a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The 4G-enabled smartphone also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via SD card slot.
On the camera front, Intex Uday features a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera with flash on both the cameras. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and VoLTE. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is backed by a 2,800mAh battery.

In addition to these features, the smartphone also comes with pre-loaded features such as DataBack which is basically a data saving feature. This app provides up to 500MB free data back to the users per month for free while bundled Prime Videos app allows users to enjoy unlimited access to stream and download video content. The smartphone also includes a MiFon Security app and Swiftkey keyboard.
The Intex Uday is priced at Rs 7,999 and comes in three colors – black, champagne and blue. Intex says the smartphones are being made available through these retailers who reach 5 million customers across the city.
