Apple has released iOS 11.0.2 update. The minor update fixes users’ complaints of a crackling sound during an ongoing call on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Besides the fix, the addresses a couple of other issues.
As per the changelog of the new iOS 11.0.2 update, it includes bug fixes and improvements for iPhone and iPad. The changelog includes the fix to the issues which led to crackling sounds during calls on a limited number of iPhone 8 duo. However, the company has not mentioned of the specifics of the issue. Besides, the update also addresses the issue that could cause some photos to disappear. If you have been facing problems opening S/MIME-encrypted email on your iOS 11 device so far, the update also includes a fix for that.
The update doesn’t bring any other exciting feature, but you ought to install the iOS 11.0.2 update for your iPhone or iPad to run smoothly. The update is around 276MB in size, and can be downloaded over Wi-Fi network. To download and install the update, head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update. Ensure that you have your iPhone or iPad’s battery charged over 50 percent, or it is plugged in during the update process.
