Posted as a side note on the App Store Distribution page, Apple reveals that of all the devices that visited the App Store on Sunday, 46 percent were running on iOS 8, while iOS 7 continued to lead, running on 47 percent of devices. One of the reasons for the slow adoption rate could be the size of the update itself. The update file is about 1GB big and requires users to have at least 6GB of free space on their iOS devices. This is specially a problem for owners of the iPhone 5C 8GB variant. There is however a simple trick to install the update on your iOS device without having to deleting everything on it.
Announced at WWDC earlier this year, Apple s iOS 8 brings in a slew of features and improvements. You can check out a detailed list of features here.
