Apple seems to be geared up for tonight’s launch with recent reports indicating that it has shipped around 55,000 units to India ahead of the launch. Pre-orders for the new iPhones have crossed 21,000, so Apple is ensuring there are enough units in stock to last the expected weekend rush.
To recap on the pricing, the iPhone 6 16GB variant is priced at Rs 53,500, which is the same price tag at which the iPhone 5S was launched last year. The 64GB variant is priced at 62,500, and the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 71,500. The prices for the bigger iPhone 6 Plus start at Rs 62,500 for the 16GB variant. The 64GB variant is priced at Rs 71,500, while the 128GB variant is priced at 80,500.
