Royal Challengers Bangalore s #PlayBold has taken the second position, whereas Kolkata Knight Riders new tagline #KKRHaiTaiyaar, which has replaced the earlier highly-acclaimed tagline #KorboLorboJeetboRe, has taken the third spot.

Twitter has also released other data with most mentioned matches based on tweets between April 11 and April 16. Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders has taken the first spot, followed by Kings XI Punjab vs Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kings XI Punjab, taking the second and third spot, respectively.
Among the most trending hashtags, #IPL2018 has taken the top spot, followed by #WhistlePodu, #Yellove, #CSK and #RCB. Top five most mentioned teams include @chennaiipl, @delhidaredevils, @kkriders, @lionsdenkxip and @mipaltan.
During the opening weekend, all team franchises also tweeted about new emojis the fans can unlock using special hashtags. Each team has its own unique emoji, with few teams choosing hashtags in Indian regional languages too. In a press release, Twitter has also highlighted the most retweeted tweets.
