If you cannot send or receive messages on WhatsApp you are not alone. WhatsApp seems to be facing an outage today. The service has been facing outages more frequently after it was acquired by Facebook, with the last outage happening a month ago. Like always people have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration. Earlier this month WhatsApp announced it had crossed 50 million monthly active users in India and has crossed half-a-billion world wide. The company is aiming to double the number in the next one year while it took them close to five years to cross 500 million users. It also forged a partnership with Airtel to launch WhatsApp only plans.
