JBL has launched a new pair of headphones in India, called the JBL Free. These headphones are of the truly-wireless variety, which means that there are absolutely no wires or connector in place even between the left and right earphones, which function independently. The JBL Free is available now for Rs 9,999, and goes on sale via, various online and offline retail channels, and through 350 Samsung brand stores across India.

The JBL Free functions similarly to the Apple AirPods, Jabra Elite 65t and Bose SoundSport Free, connecting wirelessly to your source device. Each earbud functions on its own to deliver audio, and also contains its own independent battery for power. The JBL Free headphones also have a built-in microphone for hands-free calling, and comes with a charging case that tops up the battery when the headphones are not in use.

The case can be charged wirelessly with the built-in battery, and you’ll only need to keep the case topped up. The headset promises four hours of use per charge of the headphones, with the case providing a total of 20 hours of battery to keep the earphones topped up. The case is fast-charge enabled, giving users an hour of listening with 15 minutes of charge.

Additionally, the JBL Free headphones are also sweat and water resistant, allowing for easier outdoor use during commutes or while working out. Three sets of ear-tips and two silicone sleeves for improved fit are also included in the sales package.
