JBL GO 2 wireless speaker with IPX7 rating launched at Rs 2,999

JBL GO 2 carries almost the same features as its predecessor, but is waterproof and is available in 12 fancy colors

Harman just launched JBL GO 2 in India. It is the second-generation speaker of the popular JBL GO, which the company launched in 2015. JBL GO 2 is priced at Rs 2,999 and will be available in 12 different colors. You should be able to purchase the speaker from several retail outlets, including 350 Samsung stores across the country.

The JBL GO 2 has the same box-shaped design featured on its predecessor. However, this time the speaker has rounded edges, which should make it easier to carry and hold. JBL also claims it to offers better audio output and overall performance. The biggest change is that the JBL GO 2 is waterproof. With its IPX7 rating, users do not have to worry about carrying the speaker in the rain or even to the poolside. JBL GO 2 can also be submerged completely in water.

JBL GO 2 specifications and features 

The JBL GO 2 has pretty much the same features as its predecessor. Under the grill, it has a 3.0-Watt mono speaker that is said to have a frequency response of 180Hz – 20kHz. The speaker is powered by a 730mAh rechargeable battery that Harman claims can last for 5 hours with continuous music playback. It also takes the speaker 2.5 hours to charge completely from scratch.

JBL GO 2 comes with Bluetooth 4.1, which means you can connect it wirelessly to a smartphone, tablet or even a laptop. It also features a wired connection, so you can get music playback from older MP3s and devices that do not support Bluetooth. The speaker also sports an echo and noise cancelling microphone, which allows you to handle incoming calls directly, when connected to the speaker.
