Reliance Jio has yet to reveal how many JioPhone 2 units it has sold till now. But the smart feature phone constantly goes out of stock during the weekly flash sales. In case you missed out on getting your hands on the device, you can try your luck again next week.
The JioPhone 2 will be going on sale next week on October 4 (Thursday) at 12:00PM via jio.com, and MyJio app. The device is priced at Rs 2,999, and you can get up Rs 200 cashback by paying using the Paytm wallet. Buyers will also be able to choose from a bunch of Reliance Jio plans specifically made for JioPhone users. These plans start from as low as Rs 49.

As the name suggests, the JioPhone 2 is the successor to the original JioPhone. The one big difference between the two devices is in how a user types. Where last year’s device came with an alphanumeric keypad, the JioPhone 2 comes with a full QWERTY keypad placed below a 2.4-inch display.
As far as specifications are concerned, the JioPhone 2 comes with a QVGA resolution display, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. For photography, the device is equipped with a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and video calling. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery, and also includes FM Radio.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC. On the software front, the JioPhone 2 runs KaiOS with support for apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Assistant.
