In case you missed out on buying the Reliance JioPhone 2 yesterday, you can try your luck again next week. The sixth flash sale for the smart feature phone is scheduled for September 27 at 12:00PM.
The JioPhone 2, as the name suggests, is the successor to last year’s JioPhone. The new feature phone supports 4G VoLTE, and is priced at Rs 2,999. It has been on sale via jio.com or the MyJio app through weekly flash sales. Though the device is priced at Rs 2,999, you can get up to Rs 200 cashback by paying using the Paytm wallet. Buyers will also be able to choose from a bunch of Reliance Jio plans specifically made for JioPhone users. These plans start from as low as Rs 49.

The one big difference between the JioPhone 2 and the JioPhone is in how a user types. Where last year’s device came with an alphanumeric keypad, the JioPhone 2 comes with a full QWERTY keypad placed below a 2.4-inch display.
As far as specifications are concerned, the JioPhone 2 comes with a QVGA resolution display, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

For photography, the device is equipped with a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and video calling. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery, and also includes FM Radio.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC. On the software front, the JioPhone 2 runs KaiOS with support for apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Assistant.
