The JioPhone 2 was announced a few weeks ago, and went on sale for the first time on Independence Day this year. The ‘smart’ feature phone from Reliance is built to work on the Jio mobile network, and offers a step above the basic feature phone functionality. The next sale of the JioPhone 2 is set to take place today, starting at 12PM on Jio.com.
Interested buyers can head over to Jio.com/en-in/jiophone2, where they can buy the device, subject to availability. The flash sale will kick off at 12:00PM, with the phone priced at Rs 2,999. The JioPhone 2 supports VoLTE and 4G connectivity to work on the 4G-only mobile network of Reliance Jio. The phone is the successor to the JioPhone, which was launched last year and has since become the best-selling feature phone in India. JioPhone plans start from Rs 49, and these plans can be used with both variants of the JioPhone.

Reliance JioPhone 2 price and specifications
The JioPhone 2 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, and is accompanied by a full QWERTY keyboard. The smart feature phone matches the original variant in terms of internals, but comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
In the photography department, you get a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and video calling. Running on KaiOS, it supports Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Assistant. The JioPhone 2 supports 4G VoLTE, making it one of the few feature phones in the market to support 4G connectivity. It is armed with a 2,000mAh battery, and supports connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Voice over WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
