A new Kickstarter campaign by Kano Computing lets one build a fully-functioning computer in less than 20 minutes and the whole package costs $99 (Rs 6,200 approximately). This DIY computer package includes basic components that fit together like Lego pieces and the whole thing has been kept simple with the aim of helping kids understand the technicalities of a PC. Kano is based on Raspberry Pi and needs to be connected to a TV or a monitor. The package includes parts like a motherboard, a keyboard and some cables and the entire thing can be assembled in 20 minutes. Once assembled, Kano can be used as a computer to use Word, Excel, watch HD videos, play games like Pong and Minecraft and also learn to write program codes.
