Karbonn has announced the entry-level A41 Power smartphone in India with 4G VoLTE capability, priced at Rs 4,099. The smartphone is aimed at first-time 4G users in the country and comes with entry-level specifications. The smartphone will take on other budget entry-level smartphones with 4G connectivity in India. Earlier this month, Karbonn announced the Aura Note Play in India which is also a budget smartphone with a large screen and a bigger battery, priced at Rs 7,500 in the country. In terms of design, the smartphone comes in a simple candy-bar form factor. The front houses the display, the earpiece grille on the top accompanied by the front camera and the capacitive buttons are on the bottom bezel. The volume rocker and the power key are on the right side of the device, while the left side is bare. On the rear of the smartphone is the main camera with the LED flash on the top left. The Karbonn branding rests below the camera sensor. The speaker grille is on the bottom right of the Karbonn A41 Power. Karbonn A41 Power specifications
In terms of specifications, the smartphone comes with entry-level innards. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box. The Karbonn A41 Power comes with a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3Ghz, although Karbonn has not revealed the name of the SoC powering the smartphone. The device comes with 8GB internal storage which can further be expanded by up to 32GB using the MicroSD card slot. There is 1GB of RAM on the phone. On the rear of the smartphone is the 2-megapixel camera. The camera is basic, though there is a single-LED flash. The front camera sensor comes with a VGA resolution. The smartphone is a pretty light device and weighs 130 grams with a thickness of 12mm. The device is available in three colors – Black-Champagne, Black-Red, and White-Champagne (where the front bezels and the rear panels are white with a gold frame). The smartphone comes with a 2,300mAh battery with a claimed 8-hours talktime and 3-hours charging time. On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, and MicroUSB.
The Karbonn A41 Power is priced at Rs 4,099 in India. The smartphone takes on devices from Intex and Micromax in the sub-Rs 5,000 range. The Intex Aqua Zenith, priced little higher at Rs 4,399 also comes with 4G and similar specifications, running Android Nougat OS out-of-the-box and comes with a 5-inch WVGA display. Under the hood runs the MediaTek MT6592 quad core SoC clocked at 1.1Ghz. Internal storage is 8GB (expandable to 128GB) with 1Gb RAM. The rear camera resolution is 5-megapixel and the front camera comes with a 2-megapixel sensor. The battery is 2,000mAh.
