Google has yet to officially launch the Android One initiative in India, and already we know about two of the three smartphones that will launch today. As far as specifications are concerned, the Karbonn Sparkle V features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, 1GB of RAM, and while there is no mention on the processor, it is likely to be a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core SoC. The smartphone also includes 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 4GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 1,700mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Over the weekend, Flipkart accidentally revealed Spice s Android One smartphone which is called Dream Uno Mi-498. According to the listing, the smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 and offers the same specifications as the Karbonn Sparkle V. Flipkart however, took down the listing within minutes of it going live.
