You don t to need to go through the app and choose the same address every time you order. The device is a tiny cuboid that sits easily in your palm. The device comes in a simple white box. Inside, is the instruction manual while the box is tucked in a cushioning. Taking out the button has been a task for me, so i use a key to scoop it out of the box.
When you finally have the button in hand, you ll see its face is red with three glowing features – the KFC logo, the button, and a notification LED. And if you hold the button upside down, you ll notice a little chit with a unique Button ID written on it, which is important for you to set up the button.
The setup process
Begin by tapping the KFC button. The device will flash with four different color notifications, indicating that the button is now on. Now connect it to your Wi-Fi network. To do this, go to Wi-Fi settings. You ll find the KFC Order Button as an option in the list of Wi-Fi devices near you. Select the button, and run an auto-scan to connect to your local Wi-Fi network. Once you re connected, the notification LED on the button will turn green.
The registration process
Once you re done, go to online.kfc.co.in/button, and enter your Button ID and mobile number to begin the registration process. Next, provide your name, email address, and your default address. You d now be prompted to choose your favorite order.
Your favorite order
You now have the opportunity to choose your favorite item from the KFC menu. The idea here is to choose the dish that you like to order most often, and the set the order as default where you like to get food delivered most frequently. So that, once you have setup, you just click the button and your meal order gets placed. However, there is an obvious loophole here. What if you cat walks all over the button and orders a KFC? What if someone unaware, just clicks the button to see what it does? To avoid such circumstance, where you accidentally place an order, after clicking a button you will receive a message on your registered mobile number, to which you ll have to reply with the digit 1 to confirm the order. If you don t reply within 15 minutes of clicking the button, the order gets cancelled. As for the mode of payment, presently only cash on delivery is available with the one-click button model.
