KFC's greasy chicken bucket doubles up into a high-tech Bluetooth photo printer

In a rather creative move, KFC is rolling out a unique chicken bucket to celebrate its 60th anniversary in Canada. KFC is calling it a ‘Memories Bucket’ and it doubles up as a Bluetooth photo printer.

The bucket, apart from serving up hot chicken, also connects to your smartphone to print pictures wirelessly. The user needs to pair the printer with his/her smartphone and then select photos it wants to print. The photo is then printed in Polaroid fashion instantly, The Verge reports.

Of course it will be available in limited quantity, and will be given to select customers. The printer is situated at the bottom of the bucket, and we presume it comes with basic ink and print paper.

This isn’t the first time KFC has brought out its creative game with technology. It previously launched a Bluetooth keyboard in Germany called Tray Typer that replaced the grease-absorbing paper slips. The rechargeable Bluetooth keyboard allowed users to text without messing up the screens on their smartphones.

KFC in Japan last year had rolled out a keyboard, mouse and USB stick that were all shaped like pieces of fried chicken. Even Pizza Hut recently unveiled what it called the Blockbuster box which doubled up the pizza box into a working projector for your smartphone.
