“The dream is to enable all land holders in the state to get a copy of their land holdings from the Internet without the intervention of any revenue official,” an official spokesman of the Revenue Department said. He said that the move would bring the “much needed transparency” in the sector as it will update the website on account of sale, inheritance and mortgages of the land. He said that an ambitious project to provide digital land titling guarantee to the people of Jammu and Kashmir has been launched with the first step of putting out a Request For Proposal (RFP) in the public domain.
