Apple s launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus is inching closer, and there have been many rumors hinting at different set of specifications and features. Based on what we have heard so far, the new iPhones will be waterproof, won’t feature a 3.5mm audio jack, and the iPhone 7 Plus will come with a dual-camera setup. It’s been long rumored that Apple will ditch the decade old 3.5mm audio jack and use the Lightning Port for all purposes, including audio. The images were first posted by NowhereElse and show two speaker grilles on either side of the port. While the absence of the audio jack is in line with previous rumors, the leaked images are from an unknown source and we advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.
From what we have heard so far, the iPhone 7 will feature a bigger camera module, and the antenna lines will be pushed to the top and bottom edges. Apple may also do away with the 16GB base variant and 32GB onboard storage may be the new standard. The iPhone 7 Plus variant is also rumored to come with 3GB of RAM, dual camera setup at the back and a smart connector port for accessories such as external keyboard.
According to report the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus would sport 3GB of RAM, an extra 1GB to meet the demanding processing needs of the rumored dual-camera setup. The iPhone 7 is also expected to include some sort of water and dust proofing capabilities, wireless charging from a distance of up to 15 feet.
