Along with a trio of Moto G6 smartphones, Lenovo-owned Motorola is also expected to launch a couple of affordable Moto E5 smartphones in the coming months. While these upcoming smartphones have not been averse to the rumor mills, a new leak gives us our first look at what the Moto E5 Plus could look like.
A couple of alleged hands-on photos of the Moto E5 Plus have surfaced on Weibo. The photos show the front and back panels of the upcoming smartphone, and what we see, is in line with previous leaks. Up front, Motorola is opting for a contemporary design with the Moto E5 Plus seen sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio display with thin bezels on the sides.
At the back is the circular camera module towards the top that seems like a dual-camera setup. But as previous reports have hinted, the Moto E5 Plus won’t actually sport dual cameras. But at the same time, there is no word on why we see a pair of cutouts. Guess we will have to wait till the actual launch to find out. Below the camera module is the Batwing logo, which is widely expected to have the fingerprint sensor embedded.
While details are scarce, there have been a couple of leaks hinting at what to expect from the upcoming smartphone. The Moto E5 Plus is likely to flaunt a 5.9-inch HD+ (1440×720 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also said to be backed by a 4,000mAh battery. As we have seen before, the Moto E5 Plus is also expected to launch with a sub-Rs 10,000 price tag.
Along with the Moto E5 Plus, Motorola is also expected to launch the Moto E5 smartphone. Additionally, the company is also gearing up to launch three smartphones – Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. Extensive leaks have again given us a fair idea on what to expect from the G6 series devices. There’s currently no word on when Motorola plans to host a launch event for these smartphones.
