After launching the XOLO X900 last year and the XOLO X500 more recently, Lava is again set to launch another Intel-powered smartphone in its XOLO range come March 14. According to a report on TimesOfIndia, Lava also claims that this will be the fastest ever smartphone with an Intel chip inside. According to the report, this smartphone is being developed under the codename Mission X and will be powered by an Intel Medfield Z2460 chipset. This chipset currently powers the Motorola Razr i and has been clocked at 2GHz. The chipset also supports Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and up to 2GB RAM, storage up to 64GB, and can also support an 8-megapixel rear camera which can shoot videos at 1080p and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
The report also goes on to say that the XOLO smartphone will be priced somewhere around Rs 20,000-RS 22,000 which will put it in the territory of smartphones like HTC One S, Sony Xperia P and Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos among others.
With a launch scheduled for March 14, it will be interesting to see how the Indian mobile maker will make the heads of the media turn on itself when they will be busy covering the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S IV in New York.
