Lava is set to launch the Xolo X500 Android smartphone in India, which will be based on Intel s Lexington chipset designed for low-cost smartphones. Intel had previously, announced the Lexington chipset at CES 2013 and had stated that Lava would be amongst the companies that would make smartphones using this chipset. The phone, which is based on an Intel reference design, sports a dual-SIM capabilities and will have a 3.5-inch display with a 480×320 pixel resolution, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 1.2GHz Atom with Hyper-threading, 1,500 mAh battery, a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera that will have a burst shot mode of 6fps and microSD card support. The device will reportedly have a best buy price of Rs 8,999 when it launches in India, according to NDTV Gadgets.
