Lava s move seems to be a reaction to Gionee s entry and subsequent growth in the Indian market. The Chinese company s portfolio includes the likes of Elife E6, Elife E7 and the Elife E7 mini, which boast hardware components from the best brands and are available at an affordable price. Gionee will continue with its aggressive strategy as it plans on becoming a top-tier brand in the Indian market and this means that domestic brands will have to step up their game.
With the Iris Pro Range, Lava is clearly looking at sprucing up the hardware and reveals that the first smartphone under this range will weigh 114 grams and feature an LCD display made by Sharp that will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, fully laminated touch panel and software features like Content Adaptive backlight control.
