Lava Z81 is the newest addition to Indian smartphone maker’s mid-range lineup of devices. The smartphone comes just a week ahead of Diwali celebrations and is aimed at consumers in the online as well as offline market.
The Lava Z81 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, and is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, which is a quad-core SoC clocked at 2GHz coupled with PowerVR GE-class GPU. The smartphone comes in two different storage variants, there is a 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants but storage remains standard at 32GB. It also supports expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card slot.

In terms of imaging, there is a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash and a 13-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash. It runs Star OS 5.0, which is the custom version of Lava’s mobile operating based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS.

The smartphone comes in black and gold colors, and is priced at Rs 9,499 for the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It will be available across national retail outlets and e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon India and Snapdeal. Following the availability of 3GB RAM variant, the company will add 2GB RAM variant as well.
