Lava has launched four new smartphones under its Z series in India. The lineup includes the Lava Z60 priced at Rs 5,500, while the Z70 and Z80 are priced at Rs 8,000 and Rs 9,000 respectively. The most expensive is the Z90, which retails at Rs 10,750. The smartphones are available at retail stores across India, and on e-commerce portals as well. Along with the smartphones, Lava has also introduced a ‘Money Back Challenge’. This offer allows one to return a Lava smartphone within 30 days of purchasing it, and get a refund. Of the lot, the Lava Z90 stands out courtesy of its dual-camera module. The setup includes an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors of f/2.0 aperture and flash. Up front, the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel camera of f/2.0 aperture with flash. The Z90 along with the Z80, Z70, and Z60 all come with bokeh mode. The smartphone flaunts a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 2,750mAh battery with Super Power Saver mode. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Star OS 4.1 on top. The Z90 also features a rear fingerprint sensor.
Lava Z70, Z80 specifications
The Lava Z70 and Z80 come with a similar set of specifications including a 5-inch HD IPS display. The Z80 is powered by an unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core processor, while the Z70 runs a MediaTek 6737 SoC under its hood. In terms of memory, the Z70 and Z80 pack 2GB and 3GB of RAM respectively, with the same 16GB of internal storage.
For photography, both smartphones sport an 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Z80 and Z70 are fueled by a 2,500mAh battery, and run on Android 7.0 Nougat with Star OS 4.1 on top. The smartphones also house a rear fingerprint sensor. The Lava Z60 has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top, and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage. In the camera department, the Lava Z60 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera of f/2.0 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with flash.
