We’re all but certain that the OnePlus 6T will be launched in October, thanks to multiple leaks and rumors. Some reports have also narrowed it down to October 17 as being the launch date, and this latest one that further strengthens the likelihood that we could see the OnePlus 6T launch on that date. An image of a leaked invitation has now surfaced online, indicating that the OnePlus 6T launch event will take place in India on October 17.
The invitation doesn’t give away much else, including details of the city of the launch. However, it does explicitly mention October 17 being the launch date, and looks realistic enough. It also mentions the slogan for the OnePlus 6T – ‘Unlock The Speed’ – which we believe is a reference to the in-display fingerprint sensor that will be introduced on the OnePlus range with the device, AndroidHeadlines reports. Additionally, as has always been the case, OnePlus will continue to focus on performance as a USP on its latest device.
While OnePlus hasn’t given much away this time around, it’s likely that there will be simultaneous launch events on October 17 in various markets, including India, China, North America and Europe. So while this invite is for the India-specific launch event, there could be other events also taking place. Furthermore, some reports have suggested that a single global keynote will reveal the device a day prior, on October 16, as was done during the OnePlus 6 launch in May this year. However, there are no details on this yet.
