The Le Max 3 is the next-generation device in the company’s Le Max series, and as the name suggests, will succeed the Le Max 2. According to Gizmochina, the Le Max 3 is codenamed Le Max X920, and interestingly, the smartphone has been spotted online previously on multiple occasions. Just recently, the device was seen on Geekbench, revealing key specifications such as Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The new report contains a screenshot that corroborates the Geekbench listing. As far as the remaining specifications go, rumors suggest the smartphone will have 64GB onboard storage, though it could have microSD slot for further memory expansion. The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.3-inch QHD display. For photography, the smartphone will have 22.5-megapixel Sony IMX318 camera on the back and 8-megapixel front camera. For connectivity, it will support USB Type-C. It will draw juice from a 3,700mAh battery. ALSO READ: LeEco CEO Jia Yueting steps down amid financial troubles
Even though it s still a rumor, use of Snapdragon 820 SoC seems pretty odd. With Qualcomm already launching a superior 835 SoC, the Le Max 3 with 820 SoC may find it tough to take on the rivals. The company might replicate last year s strategy when it launched two variants of the Le Max 2 smartphone.
Besides the specs details, the report has a couple of live images of the new LeEco smartphone. Based on the live images, the smartphone looks very similar to previous generation Le smartphones. It has the same metal body with fingerprint scanner mounted on the back. The camera setup on the back appears to have dual-LED flash and laser auto-focus. There s also a flash on the front for the selfie-camera. RELATED LeEco Le Max2 review: A powerhouse, but
