Lennard Hoornik, the former Marketing Head for Sony Ericsson, has joined HTC as its President for South Asia. Hoornik has experience working in the region when he served as Corporate Vice President and Head of Asia-Pacific region for Sony Ericsson between January 2006 and April 2008. He will be now based in Singapore and look after Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippine, Australia and New Zealand markets for HTC. HTC today announced a management shift in the way it was handling Asia. Jack Tong, who was the Vice President for HTC in Asia, will now assume the role of President, North Asia and will look after Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and China. It is unclear when Hoornik quit Sony Ericsson but it seems it happened sometime during the last quarter of calendar year 2010.
