Lenovo this year has launched the A6000, A7000 and the A6000 plus more recently. The company is now close to launching yet another smartphone in this range, called the A5000. As per Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone is on sale with a price tag of Rs 10,250. The Lenovo A5000 launched in Russia earlier today. One of the talking points on this smartphone is the mammoth 4,000mAh battery. The company claims it is good enough to survive up to 17 hours of talktime and up to 792 hours on standby mode. Furthermore, it also highlights the Quick Charge feature, which charges the battery in just three hours. A 15 minute charge is also enough to offer up to four hours of talk time. As far as specifications go, the A5000 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 300ppi. Under the hood is a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor paired with Mali T760-MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 8GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card, 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0. Surprisingly, unlike the other smartphones in Lenovo’s A-series, the A5000 lacks LTE support. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
