Last week at CES, Lenovo took the wraps off the A6000, which is its most affordable LTE-capable smartphone yet. At CES, the smartphone was reportedly launched at $169 (Rs 10,500 approximately), but we expect it to be priced significantly lower. BGR India was the first to report about Lenovo s plans to launch an LTE-capable smartphone in India that would be aggressively priced. To recap on the specifications, the Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 1GB of RAM.
It features 8GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, twin-speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology and a 2,300mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 13 hours of talktime and up to 11.5 days on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, Dual-Mode LTE support (both TD-LTE Band 40 and FD-LTE Band 20), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under Vibe UI 2.0.
