Lenovo has launched the A6000 smartphone today at CES 2015. The 4G LTE compatible smartphone will compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4G when it is launched in India later this month. Here we pit the two smartphones against each other to see which one prevails.
The Redmi Note 4G is a bit large with 5.5-inch IPS display, while the Lenovo A6000 has a 5-inch IPS screen. Both the smartphones have a 720p display but the Lenovo A6000 has a higher pixel density. Processor and memory
The Lenovo A6000 is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor aired with 1GB of RAM, while the Redmi Note 4G has a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4G has a bit of an advantage here with a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front snapper. The Lenovo A6000has a 8-megapixel rear sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper.
Again, the Redmi Note 4G leads here with a 3,100mAh battery, while the A6000 houses a 2,300mAh battery.
Both the smartphones run on Android 4.4 KitKat with their custom UI on top.
With respect to specifications, the Redmi Note gives tough competition to the Lenovo A6000. Xiaomi’s device has better battery, camera and processor. However, the pricing of the Lenovo A6000 is what is really going to make the difference.
