When Xiaomi entered India last year, it brought with it a flash sale model, which has since been followed by other companies as well. Lenovo opted for it too with the launch of its A6000 via Flipkart, and will be continuing it with the recently launched A7000 as well. Lenovo’s new smartphone will be going on sale tomorrow for the first time on Flipkart. The flash sales generally see a huge rush the moment they kick off, and more often than not, are over in a matter of seconds. To give an idea of how these flash sales actually work, and how Flipkart handles the pressure, Lenovo has invited the media to experience tomorrow’s flash sale at Flipkart’s Bangalore office. As mentioned above, Lenovo launched the A7000 in India last week, and to remind you it goes on sale tomorrow at 2:00PM. The talking points of the smartphone are its LTE capabilities, and support for Dolby Atmos sound technology. The company describes the A7000 as a smartphone “built for entertainment on a budget.”
As far as specifications are concerned, the A7000 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6752m octa-core processor paired with Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, it offers 8GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
In the photography department, there is an 8-megapixel autofocus snapper at the back with LED flash, supplemented with a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. The smartphone also includes a 2,900mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 16 hours of talktime and up to 264 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under Vibe UI.
