Lenovo expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with the launch of the K6 Power last week. The device was launched at Rs 9,999, and will go on sale today at 12:00PM IST, exclusively on Flipkart. Buyers can choose from grey, gold and silver color variants. Buyers can also take advantage of various launch day offers on Flipkart. The Lenovo K6 Power can be bought along with exchange bonuses of up to Rs 8,000, as well as low-cost EMI schemes starting from as low as Rs 485 per month. Additionally, the Moto Pulse 2 headphones, which were originally priced at Rs 1,499, will be offered at just Rs 499. Lenovo is opting for a flash sale model, which means that stocks will be limited on day one, and only registered users will be able to take part in it. The company has also said that the first 100 lucky customers who have already registered for the sale stand a chance to win Flipkart e-Gift vouchers worth Rs 10,000. Lenovo K6 Power specifications
The Lenovo K6 Power flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display with pixel density of 441ppi, 450-nit brightness, and 178-degree viewing angle. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB onboard storage, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.
On the photography front, it sports a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor camera with LED flash, Pro-mode, PDAF support, slow motion and time lapse. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 camera with wide-angle lens and beautification mode and can shoot up to 1080p videos. There is a fingerprint scanner, and connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, USB OTG support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based Vibe UI out-of-the-box. The K6 Power also comes with a feature called App lock, which lets you lock apps like WhatsApp via fingerprint scanner. The smartphone also supports dual app feature which will basically let you run two accounts on apps like WhatsApp, and Hike Messenger among others.
At this price point, the Lenovo K6 Power will face the competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime and Coolpad Note 3 Plus. The Redmi 3s Prime comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, which is inferior to K6 Power s full HD display in terms of resolution. The Redmi 3s Prime runs Android Marshmallow-based MIUI and is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor. For photography, the Redmi 3s Prime offers 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera. The Redmi 3s Prime has slightly larger battery at 4,100mAh. It also comes with fingerprint scanner.
The Coolpad Note 3 Plus, on the other hand, comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999. It comes with features likes 5.5-inch full HD display and Android 5.1 Lollipop. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor. It comes with 13-megapixel rear camera and higher 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. It has relatively smaller battery at 3,000mAh. It also houses a fingerprint scanner.
