After the launch last week, the Lenovo K6 Power went on sale for the first time yesterday on Flipkart. The company has revealed that 50,000 units of the new smartphone were sold in less than an hour, with 1,000 K6 Power units sold every minute on an average. Lenovo has now announced that the next sale is scheduled for December 13 on Flipkart, and it will kick off at 12:00PM. The K6 Power is Lenovo’s budget offering, and at Rs 9,999, competes against popular smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, and the Coolpad Note 3 Plus to name a few. Like most smartphones in this range, the K6 Power too features a unibody metal design with slim antenna lines at the back, and the camera, LED flash and fingerprint sensor placed symmetrically.

The Lenovo K6 Power flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 450-nit brightness and 441ppi. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU, and 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB internal storage on offer, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
For photography, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera up front. There is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and among the talking points is the device’s 4,000mAh battery. Lenovo claims that the battery is good enough for up to 48 hours of talktime and up to 649 hours on standby mode. There is a power saving mode called Ultimate Powersaver, which cuts off data and apps in background, but keeps core functions like calls and texts active. The battery also supports reverse charging, which means you can use the K6 Power to charge other gadgets.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, USB OTG support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. On the software front, the device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, and there is support for dual-app feature, which will basically lets you run two accounts on messaging apps like WhatsApp, and Hike among others.
