After heavily teasing the K8 Note in the past few weeks, Lenovo has launched its mid-range smartphone in India. Successor to the K6-series, the new smartphone brings in some nifty improvements in terms of design, hardware, software and features. The Lenovo K8 Note will be offered in two storage variants, with prices starting from Rs 12,999 for 3GB RAM variant, and going up to Rs 13,999 for 4GB RAM variant. It will be exclusively available to purchase from Amazon India, and buyers will be able to choose from two color options – fine gold and venom black.
The first sale for the Lenovo K8 Note will kick off on August 18 at 12:00PM, and buyers will be able to avail launch day offers. These include Moto Sports Headphones for Rs 699 (down from Rs 1,599), 64GB 4G data and unlimited calling for Idea Cellular users for Rs 343, and discounts up to 80 percent on Kindle e-books.
There are a few highlights of the smartphone. With the increasing trend of dual-cameras, Lenovo doesn’t want to be left behind. The K8 Note features two cameras at the back – a 13-megapixel sensor to capture photos, and a 5-megapixel sensor to capture depth information. Besides letting you add DSLR-like bokeh effect, the camera software also lets you refocus the photos after they have been captured.
Secondly, starting with the K8 Note, Lenovo has ditched the Vibe UI in favor of stock Android OS. There are no fancy customizations except for the icons. The smartphone runs on pure Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The only three additions from Lenovo are the depth mode in camera software, TheaterMax VR technology, and Dolby ATMOS feature for enhanced audio experience.
