Display and hardware
The Lenovo K8 Plus, Xiaomi Mi A1 and Coolpad Cool 6, all feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. But in terms of hardware, the three have a different story to tell. The Lenovo K8 Plus comes with MediaTek Helio P25 processor, which is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. In comparison, while the Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with a Snapdragon 653 octa-core chipset, with a whopping 6GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable storage.
The Lenovo K8 Plus, Xiaomi Mi A1 and Coolpad Cool Play 6, all run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Though notably, similar to the Lenovo K8 Note, the company has dropped the Vibe Pure UI with the K8 Plus too to opt for pure stock Android. Xiaomi Mi A1 too walks the path of stock Android by running the device on Google s Android One operating system.
Also, while there is no news on Coolpad Cool Play 6 s OS upgrade, Lenovo s Anuj Sharma and Google s Jon Gold have confirmed that the Lenovo K8 Plus and Xiaomi Mi A1 will soon receive the Android Oreo update. The Mi A1 is promised to receive the upgrade by end of this year. ALSO READ: Xiaomi Mi A1: From dual cameras to Android One OS; here are the top 5 features
