After the recent launch of K8 Note, Lenovo is already ready to launch another one in the series. For a while now, Lenovo has been teasing the launch of the K8 Plus, and not long ago, it also revealed the date of launch. Last week, the company teased the launch of Lenovo K8 Plus on September 6, along with revealing that the smartphone will be a Flipkart exclusive. And the latest teaser that comes from Lenovo shows off a dual-camera setup on the smartphone. Today, Lenovo shared a poster on its Twitter page, which along with teasing just a day left for the launch, also reveals a portion of the smartphone s back. And as was speculated, the poster shows the smartphone with a dual-camera setup at the rear. The camera assembly is vertically placed in the middle, with a dual-LED flash sitting on its left. Right over the dual-camera run the antenna bands. Also Read - Flipkart Mobiles Bonanza sale top deals: iPhone SE, Poco X3 Pro and more on discount
The poster also reveals a fingerprint sensor placed at the back. Which means, we can probably assume the smartphone being sans a home button on the front, similar to the Honor 8 Pro. We can also see a volume rocker placed on the phone s left. On the other hand, the previous teaser by Lenovo showed off the left side of the smartphone, which showed a SIM card tray, and the power button. Beside the official teasers, the smartphone was spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench last month. According to the listing, the Lenovo K8 Plus runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and comes with 3GB of RAM. Under its hood is a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor clocked at 1.69GHz.
Following the tradition set by the Lenovo K8 Note, the K8 Plus will also come with stock Android UI. Last month, before the launch of the K8 Note, Lenovo confirmed to BGR India that starting with the K8 Note, it is going to abandon its Vibe Pure UI in favor of stock Android. The Lenovo K8 Note was the first smartphone to ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The stock Android will result in a more refined, secure and stable environment while offering customers a familiar and easy to use interface on their Lenovo devices, said Lenovo. The move to stock Android will give users a cleaner interface, smoother experience and no excess bloatware everything that a user has come to expect from a premium device. However, despite moving to stock Android, Lenovo will still add a few enhancements to take advantage of technologies like Dolby ATMOS and TheaterMax, that it has pushed in recent times. But apart from that, its devices will run a clean version of Android without any customizations. ALSO READ: Lenovo K8 Note review: Good smartphone with room for improvement
