After the K8 Note and K8 Plus, Lenovo has now launched the K8 smartphone in India. Unveiled earlier this month, Lenovo had announced that the K8 would be available a bit later. The most affordable of the lot, the K8 is priced at Rs 10,499, and it is available for purchase across retail outlets. Design wise, the K8 looks much like the K8 Note, and K8 Plus sans the dual-camera setup. The smartphone sports a metal body in two colors of Venom Black and Fine Gold. A Lenovo trait, the smartphone comes with Dolby ATMOS support for enhanced audio. It also houses a dedicated music key on the left side that allows you to play, pause, skip, and rewind songs.

The Lenovo K8 features a 5.2-inch HD (720p) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. In the photography department, the Lenovo K8 sports a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF support, and LED flash. Up front there is an 8-megapixel camera with selfie flash. The connectivity options available on the Lenovo K8 include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. It also features a rear fingerprint sensor. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 4,000mAh battery, which Lenovo says is good enough to last 1.5 days on a single charge. Taking its price and specifications into consideration, the Lenovo K8 will go up against the likes of Moto E4 Plus, Panasonic Eluga Ray 700, and Xiaomi Redmi 4. The Moto E4 Plus is priced at Rs 9,999, while the Panasonic Eluga Ray 700 retails at Rs 9,999. Both the smartphones boast a massive 5,000mAh battery.
