Alongside the PHAB 2 Pro, Moto Z and Moto Z Force, Lenovo also launched two new large-screen smartphones, the PHAB 2 and PHAB 2 Plus. The two smartphones are priced at $199 (Rs 13,000 approximately) and $299 (Rs 20,000 approximately). The PHAB 2 and PHAB 2 Plus smartphones should not be confused with the PHAB 2 Pro, which is Lenovo s first smartphone based on the Google Tango platform. The PHAB 2 and PHAB 2 Plus are successors to the PHAB and PHAB Plus phablets, which were launched last year. The new generation PHAB series come with some upgraded features such as Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard, 3GB of RAM and more expandable storage support. But, the screen size has been reduced to 6.4-inch from 6.98-inch and 6.8-inch on the PHAB and PHAB Plus smartphones respectively.
Lenovo PHAB 2, PHAB 2 Plus specifications and features: Both Lenovo PHAB 2 and PHAB 2 Plus feature 6.4-inch display but the former has a 720p HD one while the latter has a 1080p full HD one. The two smartphones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Vibe UI on top and are powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT8783 processor. The PHAB 2 comes with 2GB of RAM while the PHAB 2 Plus has 3GB of RAM. Both smartphones come with 32GB built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
While the PHAB 2 bears 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera, the Phab 2 Plus sports a dual 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The Phab 2 Plus also has a fingerprint sensor at the back just like the PHAB 2 Pro.
Both phablets support connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB port. The two devices are powered by 4,050mAh battery.
