Lenovo is not waiting for IFA to officially kick off, and has already announced the Tab S8. The 8-inch tablet is priced at $199, and offers a decent set of specifications for the price. The Lenovo Tab S8 flaunts an 8-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The tablet also features 8-megapixel rear camera with a wide-angle lens, 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 4,290mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for seven hours of usage and up to 400 hours on standby mode. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and as for dimensions, it 209.8mm tall, 123.8mm wide and only 7.9mm thick. Lenovo is offering quite an impressive set of specifications at an affordable price. The company also mentions a 3G variant for the Tab S8, but details are scarce. There is also no word on when Lenovo will launch the tablet in India.
