Earlier this morning, at an event in YouTube LA Space, Lenovo unveiled two new Android tablets— the Yoga 8-inch and the Yoga 10-inch. These tablets are priced at $249 (Rs 15,200 approximately) for the 8-inch tab and $299 (Rs 18,300 approximately) for the 10-inch tab and for now have only been launched for the US market. In terms of specifications, both the 8-inch and 10-inch variants support a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and are powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8125 processor for the Wi-Fi version and the MediaTek MT8389 processor for the 3G version. Other features included are 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 16/32GB of expandable internal storage and a battery Lenovo claims can last more than 18 hours. On the software front, the tabs run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The unique feature of these Yoga tablets is what Lenovo calls the Multimode feature, which offers three different ways (hold, stand and tilt) to hold and use the tablet.
As mentioned above, the tablet is only available in the US for now and there’s no word on when it could come to our shores.
