Lenovo launched the Vibe K5 Plus in India earlier this year, and now the company is planning on launching a more affordable variant of the smartphone. BGR India has learnt that the smartphone in question is the Vibe K5, which is already available in certain European markets. The upcoming smartphone will be launched in India this month, and will essentially be the successor to the A6000 launched last year. As far as looks are concerned, the Vibe K5 looks exactly like the Vibe K5 Plus. The difference though are on the specifications front. The Vibe K5 features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor. The Vibe K5 Plus, on the other hand, features a 5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display and is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core processor. Lenovo Vibe K5 specifications, features: The smartphone features 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. On the photography front, it is equipped with a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The Vibe K5 also features a 2,750mAh battery, stereo speakers at the back with support for Dolby ATMOS, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.
The Lenovo A6000 was launched at Rs 6,999 last year, while the Vibe K5 Plus was recently launched at Rs 8,499. If we were to hazard a guess, we think the upcoming Vibe K5 will be slotted between the two.
