Lenovo has quietly launched yet another variant of the Vibe P1, called the Vibe P1 Turbo. Despite the name, this new smartphone seems to be the Vibe P1 Pro, which had leaked ahead of MWC last year. The smartphone is up for preorders on Lenovo’s Indonesian website, IDR 3,999,000, which roughly translates to Rs 20,200. The listing was spotted by GSMArena, and it is available in silver, graphite grey and gold colors. As it is a variant of the Vibe P1, the smartphone’s highlight is the big battery under the hood. It boasts a 5,000mAh battery that Lenovo claims is good enough for up to 45 hours of talktime and up to 30 days on standby mode. Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM.
On the storage front, it features 32GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. As for photography, the smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with tri-color flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front.
The Vibe P1 Turbo also features a fingerprint scanner placed at the back, FM Radio, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
There is currently no word on when Lenovo plans on launching the Vibe P1 Turbo in other countries, including India.
