Good news for Lenovo Vibe S1 users in India. After the A7000, K3 Note and Vibe P1, Lenovo has announced rollout of the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update for the Vibe S1 in India. The new update carrying build number S1a40_S143_151222_ROW_TO_S1a40_S228_160420_ROW and weighing 1.6GB is now being rolled out OTA (over-the-air). As the update is being rolled out in phases, it may take some time until it hits your device. You can also manually check for the update, by heading over to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check For Update. Also Read - Top Intel Core 11th Gen Tiger Lake laptops announced for 2020
The latest update brings all the goodness of Android Marshmallow including the improved Google Now on Tap, better app permissions to control the data you share with apps, and the Doze mode to hibernate the background apps when your smartphone is kept idle for some time. The Android OS runs on top of Lenovo s customized Vibe UI and all the previous features are still present.
Launched in November last year for Rs 15,999, Lenovo recently gave a Rs 2,000 price cut to the smartphone, which now makes the Vibe S1 available for Rs 12,999. This deal is exclusively available to buyers on Amazon India.
The Vibe S1 comes with a metal frame and glass back design. One of the talking points of the smartphone is the front-facing duo camera (8-megapixel + 2-megpixel). While one camera captures photos, the other one captures depth information, which lets you add blur effects to your selfies or crop out and swap background.
