The event in India last month was focused on the Vibe Shot s photography capabilities. It is designed to resemble a point-and-shoot camera, and also sports a dedicated shutter button on the right side. At the back is a metal strip that holds a tricolor flash strip beside a round modular lens. It boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, supplemented with an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Lenovo Vibe Shot specifications: The Vibe Shot flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 441ppi, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone also features 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card, a 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop.
While everything is known about the smartphone, the only missing piece of the puzzle is the price tag. Judging by the specifications, it should be priced somewhere close to Xiaomi Mi 4 or Asus Zenfone 2. If the company does launch it in that price range, the Vibe Shot s photographic chops especially the presence of optical image stabilization will give it a huge advantage over Xiaomi and Asus smartphones.
