As expected, Lenovo took the wraps off the Vibe X3 in China late last night. The smartphone has been launched in three variants, and have gone up for pre-orders in China with prices starting from 1,899 Yuan or Rs 19,000 approximately. The Lenovo Vibe X3 is the successor to the Vibe X2, which launched in India last year. The three variants include two Qualcomm-powered models called Vibe X3, and one MediaTek-powered model called Vibe X3 Youth. One of the talking points of the new smartphones is their audio playback capabilities. All three variants feature three Texas Instruments OPA1612 amplifiers, a Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec for noise cancellation, and Dolby Atmos certification. The three variants also feature a fingerprint sensor embedded into the back of the handset.
Lenovo Vibe X3 specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. As mentioned above, there are two models one features 32GB internal storage, while the other features 64GB internal storage.
On the photography front, the smartphone features a 23-megapixel camera at the back with Sony IMX230 sensor, phase detection autofocus and 4K video recording. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone also features a microSD card slot to expand the internal storage, and a 3,600mAh battery with QuickCharge 2.0 support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Lenovo Vibe X3 Youth specifications and features: This variant too flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, but under the hood it features a 1.3GHz MediaTek true octa-core chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal storage, which too can be expanded using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features a 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a slightly smaller 3,400mAh removable battery.
As mentioned above, prices start at 1,899 Yuan for the Vibe X3 Youth. The Vibe X3 32GB variant is priced at 2,499 Yuan or Rs 25,000 approximately, and 2,999 Yuan or Rs 31,000 approximately for the 64GB variant. There is currently no word on when Lenovo plans to launch these smartphones outside China.
