Lenovo seems to be working hard on its upcoming device, the Lenovo Z5. The company is all set to launch what seems to be the first truly bezel-less flagship on June 5. As the launch date of the event approaches, more and more leaks are surfacing the internet regarding the much-expected device. The official account of Lenovo on Weibo, China’s micro-blogging platform, posted a teaser poster making us believe that the Z5 is likely to deliver on the dream of an all screen smartphone that started with the Apple iPhone X.
Another leak on Weibo seemed to give away the design of the Lenovo Z5 in its entirety where it seems like the device will come with a small chin towards the bottom of the screen. The small chin also seems to pack a front-facing camera towards the bottom right corner of the device. This is similar to what we have seen with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and Mi MIX 2S. This render may not be the official render of the Z5 and Lenovo has not issued any official statement about the same. We really hope that the bottom chin is not the case while looking back at past teasers.
The render in question also contradicts the official teaser by Lenovo that showed narrow bezels on the bottom, though it is likely that the chin may have been there as the teaser showed a black screen signifying that the device is powered off or locked not giving us a clarity about where the screen would actually end.

This comes right after Chang Cheng, Lenovo Group’s Vice President shared an image on his official Weibo account shows that Lenovo Z5 will feature a curved gradient glass back. It also seems to feature a now familiar Aurora blue hue similar to the one made famous by Huawei P20 Pro. The Z5 is proving to be a bezel-less smartphone with the screen-to-body ratio that could be more than 95 percent. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM.
The smartphone is said to offer 4TB of onboard storage, which would be a first for any smartphone. It will offer 45 days of standby battery and 30 minutes of talk time with 0 percent charge. It will also feature a dual rear camera setup and pictures teased by Cheng do look promising. There is a lot of buzz around the smartphone and we will need to wait and see if it delivers on all of those promises.
