Lenovo Z5 Pro teased with hardware-level security, manual slider ahead of November 1 launch

Following the Lenovo Z5 Pro launch date announcement for November 1, Lenovo‘s CEO has now released a new set of teaser posters for the upcoming flagship device teasing hardware-level security encryption and mechanical slider.

At the Lenovo Technology Innovation Conference Tech World 2018 event last month, Group VP Chang Cheng had showcased the unannounced the Lenovo Z5 Pro smartphone that sports a manual slider design like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. Just last week, Cheng also confirmed through his Weibo account that the Lenovo Z5 Pro will be made official on November 1.

Now according to the posters released yesterday, Lenovo is all set include a chipset on the Z5 Pro for hardware level security encryption. The image shows a chipset in the middle of a motherboard teasing the the word “Turbo”.

We already know about the manual slider for Lenovo Z5 Pro, and the new teaser re-confirms the slider in detail. According to the poster, the upcoming Lenovo Z5 Pro will use a double helix for the manual slider with six guidance sensors (reports GizmoChina). The poster also mentions that the slide mechanism can last more than 300,000 times.

Recently, a leaked video of the Lenovo Z5 Pro demonstrated that the device will include an under-display fingerprint scanner. As far as screen space is concerned, the Z5 Pro may offer a screen-to-body ratio of around 95 percent.

Recent rumors have also suggested that the Z5 Pro will feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB and 8GB of RAM, and 4,000mAh battery. It may release in storage options like 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. For photography, it is expected to arrive with 20-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual rear camera setup.
